Cambria’s Annual Scarecrow Festival Delights Once Again

The coastal streets of Cambria are teeming with scarecrows! The beachside town kicked off its annual Scarecrow Festival earlier this month with local businesses and residents across Cambria’s East & West Villages, Moonstone Beach and San Simeon showcasing their best handmade scarecrow displays.

Since 2009, The Cambria Historical Society has invited the Cambria community to paper mache, paint, dress, and display whimsical scarecrows to celebrate the arrival of the season. What once consisted of 30 scarecrows has evolved into over 400 artistic straw men and women, making the festival a must-see when visiting the Central Coast in October.

This year, Pacifica Hotels own Fireside Inn on Moonstone Beach received the 2nd place honor in Most Likely to Scare Crows (or People). Meet Jack pictured below.
