California’s Many Colorful Fourth of July Celebrations

No matter where you are along the Golden Coast, there are Fourth of July celebrations bursting with excitement and entertainment.

In the beloved beach town of Laguna Beach, a magical fireworks display awaits. Just steps from the best view of July 4th fireworks at world renown Heisler Park, Laguna Cliffs Inn is ideally situated to witness the explosive event, as well as the perfect home base for which to experience Laguna’s many attractions.

Locals and visitors in Los Angeles’ Marina del Rey area can enjoy one of the area’s most talked about fireworks displays. The traditional fireworks extravaganza over Marina del Rey takes place annually on July 4th at 9pm. Fireworks can be seen at the base of Jamaica Bay Inn on “Mother’s Beach.”

Marina del Rey Hotel and Jamaica Bay Inn will both offer a special BBQ menu with perennial favorites like apple pie, burgers, ribs and more. Poolside bar and cocktail service will also be available throughout the day.

Guests who want to venture out during the day can check out the Westchester Fourth of July Parade, which starts in Westchester Park and follows along Loyola Blvd. to Loyola Marymount University. The parade includes floats, marching bands, and community service groups, and runs from 11am-1pm. Admission is free.

For those in the Central Coast, Pismo Beach and Cambria have their own fun-filled Fourth festivities. Pismo’s annual fireworks extravaganza features food, drinks, vendors, and entertainment, and includes a grand fireworks display from the famous 1,200 foot Pismo Pier.
