The New Marina Grill and Bar Sails into Marina del Rey

These are just some of the delectable dishes to be found at the new Marina Grill and Bar.

Situated in the newly unveiled Hilton Garden Inn, Marina Grill and Bar is an upscale-casual restaurant open to guests and the public. With an indoor/outdoor design, diners enjoy a tranquil setting of the coastal horizon and glimpses of the Marina waters, aquatic adventurers, and passing sailboats as they dine on dishes designed by renowned chef, Allyson Thurber. Chef Allyson created a menu that blends beach eats and more contemporary fare, giving guests a variety of cuisine choices.

To start the day, patrons experience a full breakfast featuring omelets, oatmeal, fruit, breads and Hilton’s signature waffle. Specialty items include a Heart Healthy Omelet with Egg Whites, Spinach, Mushrooms, Tomatoes and the Eggs Benedict with Poached Eggs on English Muffin with Canadian Bacon and Fresh Hollandaise Sauce.

Marina Grill and Bar offers a daily Happy Hour from 4-7 p.m. where hotel guests mix with locals and area professionals and enjoy discounted libations and nibbles like Pan Fried Vegetable Potstickers with Sesame Chili Dipping Sauce, Wild Mushroom & Smoked Gouda Quesadilla with Smashed Avocado & Parmesan, and Untraditional Shrimp Cocktail with Avocado, Tomato, Cilantro & Lime. Cocktails include takes on margaritas, mojitos and martinis. Outdoor couches and a fire pit create an intimate and inviting area to mingle and watch the setting sun.

Dinner features something for everyone including fresh salads like the Fiesta Chicken Cobb with Lime Marinated Chicken, Avocado, Bacon, Green Onion, Cherry Tomato, Cheddar-Jack Cheese & Cilantro Lime Dressing; hearty burgers and sandwiches such as the Steak & “Shrooms,” which is comprised of Sautéed Shiitake Mushrooms, Grilled Flat Iron Steak, Grilled Onions, Swiss Cheese & Horseradish Cream on a Toasted Rustic Roll; signature flatbread pizzas including the Spicy Italian Sausage with Bleu Cheese, Caramelized Onions, Arugula, Mushrooms & Shaved Parmesan; and traditional entrees like the quintessential Fish & Chips that are beer battered and served with spicy tartar sauce, fries and house coleslaw.

Finally, sweet-toothed patrons will be satiated by the many dessert delights including the decadent flourless chocolate cake, tempting caramel brownie and irresistible apple torte.
