Pismo Beach may be known as a vibrant summer destination, but it’s the holiday season that brings a blissful spirit to the funky beach town with the “Holiday Harmony” celebration.
The festivities kick off on Friday, December 2nd, at the Price Anniversary House. Light refreshments will be served from 4:30pm to 5:05pm. Mayor Shelly Higginbotham will commence ‘Light Up Pismo Beach’ by flipping the switch for the Price House lights. Guests are encouraged to wear Santa Claus hats.
Following the first ‘Light Up Pismo Beach’ at the Price House, all are invited to join the Mayor as she moves to the ‘Light Up Shell Beach’ portion of the evening at 5:30pm. The event will culminate at the ‘Light Up Pismo Beach’ ceremony, which will include the lighting of Pismo Beach City Hall and the Pismo Beach Chamber of Commerce, as well as local businesses across the area. This is followed by the traditional holiday tree lighting ceremonies on the historic Pismo Beach Pier.
Attendees will enjoy 10 tons of fresh snow, caroling, crafts, cookie decorating and a bounce house. This is a free event for children. An event the entire family can partake in, “Holiday Harmony” is the perfect way to start the holiday season.
