Marina Del Rey Gets Fall Ready

Marina Del Rey, West LA’s sea-side cove, is preparing for autumn with a cornucopia of fun events, many of which are FREE! Here are a few of our favorites:

  • Fisherman’s Village Concert – Enjoy live jazz, Latin, R&B, and blues bands in the great outdoors near the lighthouse in Fisherman’s Village. This series of live entertainment takes place every Saturday and Sunday [weather permitting] 1- 4 p.m. and its free!

Venice Art Crawl – Thursday, October 20th embark on the monthly exploration of the area celebrating Venice beach and its unique art, music and poetry scene. Admiration starts at 6pm and lasts until 10pm. This is a free event.

  • Haunted House – Monday, October 31st  witness the spook-tacular Halloween event at Burton Chace Parks. This second annual haunted house features a cryptic tour of a haunted house set up in the community center in addition to a costume contest. The ghoulish games are from 7pm -9pm. Admittance is free.
  • Sunset Full Moon Kayak – For a unique kayak experience, try a night kayaking excursion on Saturday, November 5th. All experience levels welcome, open to ages 18+. Kayaks are available at UCLA Marina Aquatic Center from 6pm-9pm, and are available from $25-$35.
