2011 California Avocado Festival

Looking for an agricultural adventure this fall? Check out Carpinteria, California for the California Avocado Festival. The avocado Mecca, just south of Santa Barbara, is the third largest avocado producer in North America. Festivities take place Friday, October 7th at 11am – October 9th at 6pm.

Celebrate with the locals as they embrace their world-famous, homegrown avocados and all the delicious foods created with them. Perhaps the festival highlight is the homemade guacamole contest, which brings competitors from all over. Taste-test some of these delectable dips along with many other authentically made avocado-inspired salads and sandwiches, all while enjoying musical entertainment and people-watching.

After a jam-packed day of eating and mingling, rest assured that you can rest easy at Pacifica Suites, located just a few short miles from the heart of the festival. The only all-suite hotel in the area, Pacifica Suites has spacious accommodations, as well as complimentary breakfast and afternoon wine.

Bring your friends, family, and loved ones to experience California’s green fruit phenomenon!
